The little creature is a representation of me in my dreams. Dreams are an important and major piece of a person and are often overlooked as a part of identity; my dreams often dictate the way that my day will go, of what might happen soon - they also leave a sort of "aftertaste", like a feeling (the predominant one in the dream most of the time) that stays with me throughout the day.
This is a conscious work about the subconscious/unconscious Me.
The figure is in a crawling position, and the "body" is a big mush of certain images or feelings I often interact with or encounter when dreaming, translated into textures: sponges, nets, toothpicks, certain textiles, etc.
materials from bottom to top: plaster, chicken wire, clay, fabrics, nets, layers of sponges, cotton buds, plastic, toothpicks.
